There is a place on Gludinate
Where children go to play
When their lives are sad and cold...
Here their troubles melt away
When the children are asleep at
Precisely ten at night
In lumbers in a jolly, young man
And starts an evening of delight
They climb into his Gwendaleer
A boat made of papildu
And as the boat lifts off the ground
There's giggles cheers and "woo-hoo's!"
Then they're off through the atmostphere
Spotting endangered fullite
Dodging those dreaded spatelers
And collecting stagremite
Arriving at their destination
The children squeal with joy
Before them was a candy land
That no one can destroy
The streets are rocky road ice cream
The trees are lollipops
But once you begin eating
You simply cannot stop!
Then suddenly the sky goes dark
And you're trembling with fear
You look into the sky and see
The cookie monster's near
Get back into the Gwendaleer!
Please go speedy quick,
Everyone was much compliant
But after one more lick
Away they flew from Gludinate
Back to family and friends
Though they know they'll all return
Tomorrow night at ten

Poem 11 - Ballad
Historic Love
Gather near as the old woman tells tales
Flled with wisdom, morale and truth
Of battles, heart break and forbidden love
And other perils of her youth
For she once was a beautiful woman
Thought to be fairest in the land
The villages many suitors
All competed for her hand
Though her heart had other desires
More specifically, her farmhand, Mack
But their love could never be
For she was white and he was black
No one ever suspected a thing
Most couldn't even fathom the thought
'Til one day in late July
Someone peaked 'round the barn and they were caught
They had no choice but to flee from the town
Their fears alive they'd always dreaded
Alas the mob caught up to them
And now Mack was to be-behead
His last dying moments were spent with her in his cell
"You are a vision; kind, pure and faire
So I make this promise to you forever
I loved you down here, and I'll love you up there."
And with that he was off to the chopping block
The young woman's tears flowing free
She vowed then to herself in silence
In her heart Mack would always be
Years later she's married to a proper white suitor
And most thought her life was swell
With money and children... but she could not forget
The farmhand she loved so well
Gather near as the old woman tells tales
Flled with wisdom, morale and truth
Of battles, heart break and forbidden love
And other perils of her youth
For she once was a beautiful woman
Thought to be fairest in the land
The villages many suitors
All competed for her hand

Poem 10 - Acrostic
Acrostic Poem
Betrayed my faith faith in you, now I'm
Always feeling pain
Craving well deserved revenge, you have
Killed every last ounce of respect, hundreds of
Scars surround our relationship
Trying to forgive but it's
A useless effort perhaps, I'm
Broken and hurt...
Brought down by your words
Every glance I cast, I'm
Regretting our time together but
Secretly wishing I had you back
Betrayed my faith faith in you, now I'm
Always feeling pain
Craving well deserved revenge, you have
Killed every last ounce of respect, hundreds of
Scars surround our relationship
Trying to forgive but it's
A useless effort perhaps, I'm
Broken and hurt...
Brought down by your words
Every glance I cast, I'm
Regretting our time together but
Secretly wishing I had you back

Poem 7 - Model Poem
Original Poem
Model Poem
The Fall
Take my hand and hold it tight!
And in parting into night,
Thus together in flight-
You are not wrong to be afraid
That this action, a crusade;
Yet if God is forgiving
In spite¸ he will give us wing
In his mercy, and his grace
Is our prayer that he shall brace?
All he’s given, but to stall
‘Tis our calling, ‘tis our fall
I stand before the dread
Of the despair up ahead
And I hold within my heart
Grains of a fresh start-
How few! Yet how they heal
Through the wounds, emotions yield
While I pray- while I feel
O God! This is where it leads
Them sins, that pain, this greed
O God! I now know how
One move then, causes pain now?
Is all this thinking to stall
But now I’m ready, time to fall
Title: The Fall
Type: Model poem
Inspiration: The first line came to me very easily, and so after that I found that I could go far with the subject. This poem came to me very easily and without much thinking, the words just flowed out.
Poem 8 - Cinquain
He’s there
The world is stopped
Just to admire him
Wait, reality has snapped back
He’s gone
He’s not
Like other guys
Sweeter, nicer, better
Unattainable, now that’s what
He is
He smiles
Heart skips a beat
Praying for just a chance
All the rumors, speculations
I cry
Heartbreak
By: Amy Bishop <3
Title: HeartbreakType: Cinquain
Inspiration: A relationship with a certain guy that put me through a lot of emotional battles.
*Out of all the poems I have this one is my favourite. It really managed to capture the emotions and pain that I was feeling at the time. Life is emotional, and sometimes it's good to release those emotions and share what you're feeling. I think this poem sums up these emotions very well andis a good expression of real heartbreak.

Poem 6 - Haiku's
Title: Sunset
Type: Haiku
Inspiration: Many haiku's are written about nature, and I found sunsets to be the most inspiring natural phenomenon.
